Top Outdoor Essentials for Men

What to wear hiking Outdoor Essentials pieces

Hiking into the Glen at Niagara Falls, you ascend into the gorge down a metal set of stairs. Then the fun began, we hiked along the rocky gorge walls that tower above and over stairways of boulders. Cody hiking comfortably in his outdoor essentials from JCPenny. We took the bluefish trail down to the water’s edge. Weaving in between boulders and through the forest. Once arriving at the water, I was surprised at how blue it was. It’s rushing past. There are large rocks and pools along the water’s edge and the current is flowing in and out of the pools every thirty seconds or so.

The Best Outdoor Essentials

Versatile Hiking Pants

Cody wore his incredible quick-dry Hi-Tech pants. He tests every pair of pants he buys and the Hi-Tech pants passed with flying colors. For instance, he tests them by doing knee-ups at a fast rate and makes sure they stretch and feel great the entire time. Imagine in the JCPenney dressing room Cody pumping his legs up and down at high speeds. As a result, I chuckle every time he does this. In conclusion, the Hi-Tech pants stretched with ease and are super lightweight. Plus they are Water Resistant.

Fundamentals for layering Outside Essentials

And of course he needs a classic t-shirt to add to his outdoor essentials. The St. John’s Bay outdoor graphic t-shirt is classic by itself or perfect paired with one of the flannel button downs. For example the t-shirt fits well and is not to baggy with a nice hang to it. Cody added the flannel shirt and puffer vest from St. John’s Bay at JCPenny to add warmth for our active outdoor lifestyle. The pieces are comfortable, versatile, and affordable.

Niagara Falls Gorge & Glen

Enjoying all the smells of Fall by Niagara River.

There are many boulder areas down in the Niagara gorge. We even had the chance to view the Whirlpool jet boats down along the water’s edge. The Niagara River has a strong fast current and you would have to be a pro to navigate it. The jet boat came to this fast-moving current and the front end dipped, therefore the people definitely got splashed in that boat.

In the gorge, there was such an array of colors. From the turquoise color of the water surging through the gorge to the banks being scattered with orange and red trees. Consequently, it makes for quite the vibrant color arrays!

Niagara Falls Boardwalk area

Later on, we went to the falls, and Cody looked nice and preppy. But still stayed warm with his layers. Cody loves that the St. John’s Bay apparel from JCPenny is functional for outdoor adventures, yet stylish for a time on the town. You can find everything for men’s outdoor essentials at JCPenney. From keeping you warm and dry to looking cool and comfortable.

Niagara Falls is impressive and totally worth seeing from the Canadian side. There is a boardwalk along the cliff edge and you can stroll along and take in the views. Hence providing for a considerable variety of angles. As a result the closer you get to the horseshoe falls, the mist can grow with each nearing step. Walking far enough south on the boardwalk you come to where the water flows over the edge of the falls. Therefore creating significant views of the most powerful waterfall in North America. Continuously rushing over at an incredible rate with such force. It’s kinda shocking to see and take it all in. If you have the opportunity to visit Niagara Falls, We recommend visiting both the US and Canadian sides.
